Southend-on-Sea residents can bring their household waste to one of the city’s two Household Waste Recycling Centre’s (HWRCs).

  • 01 February to 31 October: Weekdays (closed Thursday) - 9am to 5pm, Weekends - 8am to 5pm
  • 01 November to 31 January: Weekdays (closed Thursday) - 9am to 4pm, Weekends - 8am to 4pm
  • open from 9am on Bank Holidays
  • closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day
