Joining us as a graduate is a fantastic springboard for a challenging and rewarding career
We are working with businesses and communities to move to a low-carbon circular economy, but it is a huge challenge and we need a fantastic team to do it.
Every year, SUEZ recruits graduates across our UK business in various roles, disciplines and departments. We recognise the benefits of harnessing and developing new talent.
Recent graduates can join us either through our graduate scheme or by applying directly for roles designated for graduate applicants.
Our graduate scheme runs twice a year, and places recruits in specific departments such as energy, production and commercial operations. This is a structured programme designed to develop your skills and career while allowing for individual mentoring and support, and the flexibility to specialise in particular areas of interest.
Graduates gain broad experience in different divisions and locations across the organisation, and many have gone on to become senior managers.
I was keen to work for a socially-responsible company with a strong environmental ethos and joined SUEZ on its graduate scheme eight years ago. I was surprised by how many women were working in operational roles.
Thanks to the general management skills I developed over a short period of time, I become a Site Manager responsible for a Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) and team of people. I’m now working in the Business Transformation Team, helping managers to introduce efficient production methodologies.
The career opportunities are wide and varied and the industry is incredibly innovative.

I wanted to work for an organisation that cares about the development of their staff and the environment.
As an HR Apprentice, I am getting to know both the recycling industry and all about Human Resources processes.
I have always been interested in people, having worked in retail from 15 years old, Through the apprenticeship, I will gain a qualification to help me prepare for my next career move within SUEZ.
