That's Christmas all wrapped up, or is it?

Blog from a guest contributor from SUEZ recycling and recovery UK.

For most of us we have wrapped Christmas up for another year, we have said farewell to family and friends, packed away our decorations and taken our trees to be recycled. As you may know from our top tips to reduce, reuse and #recycle4Christmas post we create a much higher amount of waste over Christmas – in fact according to Recycle now we use enough card packaging over the festive period that we could cover Big Ben almost 260,000 times!

Some of our lucky #recycle4Christmas competition winners are still waiting to receive their final gift – a reusable bamboo coffee mug!

Not only were our winners dreaming of a white Christmas but living a green one too! Over the Christmas period, we asked our followers to share a festive recycling or reuse hack with us on Facebook and Twitter in our mission to help reduce waste, increase recycling and to ensure that even more waste is put to good use or given a second life!

Watch this space in the spring for our next ‘#recycle4’ competition – we’re thinking eggs and bunnies may inspire this one…
