SUEZ in Greater Manchester - Supplier Engagement Webinar
-
SUEZ operate the waste contracts on behalf of Greater Manchester Combined Authority for 9 boroughs of Greater Manchester, equating to 1.1million tonnes of waste a year. We are committed to keeping at least 60% of our total expenditure within the area and targeting 60% of our supply chain spend on local SMEs and social enterprises. We’re inviting Greater Manchester suppliers to a 'meet the buyer' event where you can find out about future opportunities to tap into our estimated £30 million annual spend on the contract supply chain, meet key members of our procurement team, and hear why sustainable procurement matters to us.
We’ll also share helpful information about our procurement and purchasing processes, such as codes of practice, governance rules, bidding and RFQ best practice, and purchase ordering. Our aim is to work closely with our suppliers to ensure providing goods and services to SUEZ is as straightforward and hassle-free as possible. We also want to tell you about why sustainable procurement is important and what that means for our suppliers.
