Strategies for sustainable consumption year-round
-
The festive season heralds a time of joy and giving, yet it also brings an all too familiar surge in waste arisings across the UK – from unwanted gifts to leftover food, packaging and wrapping paper, the volumes of waste discarded by the public rise in November and last well into the new year. Putting pressure on an already overloaded waste management system, alongside an increase in contamination and incorrectly presented recyclables, all of which reduce the efficiency and reduces the likelihood of these materials being turned into something new.
But these challenges are inherent all year round – so how can we adapt and use the strategies, messages, and learnings from this peak time in consumption and disposal to support and enable change throughout 2024 and beyond?
Join our upcoming webinar where we will explore this question and much more with host of experts to help you plan your interventions and waste prevention strategies tackling consumption in 2024.
