SUEZ recycling and recovery UK achieves Gold Medal EcoVadis rating for second year running
Following an in-depth assessment by EcoVadis, SUEZ’s Gold Medal rating has been renewed for 2024/25, which reflects the quality of its sustainability management and commitment to promoting transparency throughout its value chain.
The assessment looks at policies and actions, as well as published reporting, related to 21 issues across four key themes: the environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Thanks to the company’s triple bottom line focus on people, planet, profit, SUEZ was able to continue achieving positive results across all categories and increase its overall score by 3 points to 75/100.
This prestigious award puts SUEZ in the top 5% of companies assessed across all sectors globally by EcoVadis over the last 12 months and scores the company higher than or equal to 96% of all companies assessed.
Leigh Broadhurst, Environment and Sustainable Development Lead said: “Maintaining our EcoVadis Gold Medal and our advanced sustainability rating as well as improving our overall score by 3 points during our first re-assessment is a fantastic achievement. This award showcases how we have continued to embed our triple bottom line approach into the way we operate.
"This score not only reflects our strategic commitments and transparent reporting, but also the combined actions of all our employees in contributing towards our company purpose. We are rightly proud of their outstanding contribution, and we are committed to continuing to build on our score over the coming years.”
