SUEZ wins ‘Large Employer of the Year’ Award for apprenticeship programme
The awards toasted the success of college learners and employer partners, SUEZ was recognised for our apprenticeship programme that puts our apprentices at the heart of our employee strategy.
This prestigious accolade was awarded at the annual ceremony held on the 20 June 2019 in Weston-super-Mare. Guests, including students, employers and local public figures joined the ceremony and heard an inspirational keynote presentation from Nick Elston, one of the country’s most renowned speakers on the subjects of anxiety, mental health and well-being.
Principal and CEO of Weston College Group, Dr Paul Phillips, who hosted the awards, said: “Many congratulations to SUEZ recycling and recovery UK and all of our award winners.
“This year we received a record number of nominations. While this made judging an unenviable task, it highlights the wealth of talent among our learners and the level of dedication and expertise within our employer network.
“Without the support of SUEZ recycling and recovery UK and our other business partners, it wouldn’t be possible to provide learners with the skills and experience they require in the world of work.”
Our apprenticeship programme covers many disciplines, from HGV fitter, business administrator, tax or payroll assistant to mechanical engineer. Irrespective of the specialist area, all apprentices in our organisation benefit from learning beyond the boundaries of their role and course and our aim is to provide them with access to gain a holistic understanding the business and how it operates.
In total, SUEZ has 50 apprentices in the UK with each person playing an integral and important role in our organisation.
