Championing future sustainable businesses in Cornwall
The Sustainability Award for Cornwall will be presented during the upcoming Young Enterprise Regional Finals, on 30th April at Exeter College. The award seeks to highlight the vital role young people play in driving sustainability and responsible business practices. It will reward projects that demonstrate creativity, environmental stewardship, and a commitment to social responsibility.
“SUEZ is delighted to partner with Young Enterprise to celebrate the next generation of sustainable leaders,” said Mark Hillson, PFI General Manager for Cornwall and Devon. “We believe that innovation and sustainability go hand in hand, and by supporting young entrepreneurs of the future, we can help shape a more sustainable environment.”
The Sustainability Award will be open to participants of the Young Enterprise Company and Team programme, encouraging them to submit their business ideas or projects with a focus on sustainability. A panel of judges, consisting of industry experts and sustainability champions, will evaluate the submissions based on their viability, impact, and innovative approach.
“By investing in young entrepreneurs, we are not only fostering innovation but also inspiring a culture of sustainability that can influence communities and industries,” said Ellie Denno, Regional Manager at Young Enterprise. “We are thrilled to have SUEZ on board as a sponsor and look forward to celebrating the outstanding contributions of young people in the Southwest.”
